Busy Busy Weekend!

Jackson and I were in Fort Wayne from Friday-Monday (today).  We visited a lot of people and did a lot!  

On Friday, Aunt Stacey got to babysit Jackson for the first time while Mom and I went and saw the movie "My Sister's Keeper".  

Saturday we went to lunch with my friend Allison and her boyfriend Jared.  It was their first time meeting Jackson and it was fun.  After lunch we went shopping with mom for Logan's birthday present.  We also went to Once Upon a Child and I bought Jackson a jumperoo and a new lightweight stroller.  

Sunday we went to Logan's birthday party and Jackson swam!  He liked it at first but then he got cold.  He would have loved it if it wasn't so windy out I think!

Today we went and visited Great Grandma Stovall and then had a play date with Cassidy and Caden.  It was a lot of fun.  We went to a park and then to Panera for lunch.  We both had a great time and we'll be getting together again soon!
We got home tonight around 5:15 and Jackson went to bed and was asleep by 6:45.  Hopefully he'll sleep in tomorrow morning :)  I doubt it though!

Gymboree

Jackson and I went to a Play and Learn class at Gymboree Play & Music today.  

We both had a lot of fun.  We played with a parachute, puppets, bubbles and did tummy time with 4 other babies.  Jackson was the second youngest in the class but he held himself up during tummy time just as well as the 6 month old babies.  He also rolled over a couple of times while they were doing tummy time.  His favorite part was the puppet...which was a freaking clown...named Gymbo.  I hate it but I might have to buy him one because he liked it so much!

Jackson also wore a 6 month Carter's romper today and it fit perfectly so we sat up in his room and took all of his 3-6 month (Children's Place and Gymboree) and 6 month (Carter's) clothes off of their hangers, took the tags off and threw them in the laundry.  

He can now wear all of his 0-3 month clothes and a few of the bigger sizes.  The pants are too big in the bigger sizes but he needs the length of the bigger sizes for the rompers.  He is still wearing size 1 diapers and the tabs still touch on them.

I enrolled Jackson in classes at Gymboree so we will be going every Wednesday from 1:00-1:45 for the next month, then hopefully longer if Ben lets us :)

Clear the Roads!!

Jackson got a new walker/activity center yesterday and he loves it!  He spent most of today playing in it.  He can walk backwards in it and honk the horn.  Sometimes he hits his mouth on the steering wheel and he doesn't like that very much, but he enjoys it anyways!

Jackson has a visitor this week, his name is Mango and he is the March'09 Playroom Mascot on JustMommies.com  He goes to a different baby every week and he showed up on our step last Friday!  Jackson loves him!  This is Jackson taking Mango for a ride...I think they were going to Grandma's.

Happy Father's Day!

Sorry I missed yesterday!  Ben, Jackson and I went to a graduation party in Wolcottville then stayed the night in Fort Wayne.  I didn't have my laptop so I couldn't update!

Jackson had his first "swim" in a lake yesterday.  It was still too cold and he hated it!  He wore himself out playing and slept from 9pm last night until 7:30am today!  Then he went back to sleep from 8:30-10:30!  He also took several naps today...he was a tired boy.

Today was Ben and Jackson's first Father's Day.  Jackson made Ben a card and we got him a photo book and a Wii game.  Jackson got to stay at Grandma and Grandpa Stovall's house while Ben and I ate lunch at Casa's then went and saw "The Hangover" which was pretty funny.

Day 3

No new pictures from today but here are some from Jackson's first trip to a park...

Day 2

Jackson is loving his play mat now.  He plays on it for at least an hour everyday.  He looks at himself in the mirror that hangs from the top and loves to hang onto the toys and swing them around.

I swear my child does not always have his pacifier!  From these pictures it looks like he does, but he doesn't like the camera very much and gets fussy when I have it!

I got a new lens and of course had to play with it this afternoon!  It's a Canon 50mm f/1.8 and I love it.

Day 1

Welcome to my blog!  I'm going to try to post a picture once a day.  These pictures will mostly be of Jackson so you can see how he is growing and what he is up to!  If I don't post a picture I will try to post something else!

We'll see how long I can keep this up...the goal is a year :)
